Shanghai, CHINA, 17 March 2011 – Linde in Greater China, a member of The Linde Group, a world leading gases and engineering company, is expanding its liquid gases production and supply network in east China to meet the growing demand for liquid products from the upbeat development of the manufacturing sector in the region.
The Linde-designed stand alone merchant plant in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), Jiangsu province, China, will begin operations by mid 2012. The plant will produce more than 500 tonnes per day of liquid products in eastern China, offering a range of industrial and ultra high-purity grade liquid products to manufacturers from various sectors such as metals, chemicals and electronics.
The fast growing potential of China’s electronics industry will especially drive this demand for liquid products in the eastern region. Over the next three to five years, the industry is expected to grow at double digits. Electronics manufacturers such as those of TFT-LED, solar semiconductors require ultra high-purity liquid gases supply for their production processes that rely on gases application technologies. Linde serves China’s electronics sector through its electronics-focused joint venture, Linde LienHwa.
